HR Generalist | Munich | 55-65k
We have seen a great deal of change over the last 18 months which has led to many looking at their own personal situations, with work-life balance a key area of focus.
As things have started to pick up in the market, I have noticed common themes in terms of what people are looking for when considering their next move.
- Is the business solid financially?
- Will the role content keep me interested and engaged?
- Does the business place strong emphasis on their employees and their development?
If you are going to move then you want to know the business is going to be there in 12 months, that the work is interesting and that the business is dialled into the development and well-being of their people. Seems fair to me!
I am currently looking for a commercially astute bi-lingual HR Generalist to join an impressive global business based from their Munich offices.
As a business, they have weathered the storm very well. They maintained good profit levels and they continued with their growth plans. They are financially as solid as anything can be.
In terms of the role content, it’s a real mix. Interesting work though as you will be involved in a number of improvement projects as well a supporting your senior managers with the day-to-day generalist activities such as performance, recruitment, L&D etc.
Everything their HR team does is focused on continually improving the development and retention of a highly skilled workforce. This focus on employee engagement and development has been recognised with many awards and is something they are immensely proud of.
About you – Firstly, you need to understand what it means to be a true business partner and most importantly enjoy operating in this capacity. From the CEO down there is great respect for HR, which has been gained through the strong relationship building skills of the HR team and their ability to implement commercially aligned HR interventions.
So, if this is what you enjoy, it is certainly worth investigating. Secondly, you need to have the skills to back up the above. We won’t waste your time by listing all of the skills of a strong HR Generalist, as if you are one, you’ll already know!
The role will be offered as an 18-month fixed term contract. There is a lot going on and so this could extend, however, if you only want to commit for 18 months then this is also ok.
This is a big challenge, and we are looking for a lot, however, in return, you will be joining an organisation that places great emphasis on its people and their ongoing development. The team is highly capable, very supportive and has lots of personality. They work hard, but also enjoy their time and will very much look forward to welcoming you to their team.
